Just the other day, I spotted a fellow walking down the sidewalk, staring intently at his hands. I had to laugh as he barely missed banging his shins against a fire hydrant. The ever-increasing storehouse capacities and growing estimate of applications designed for smartphones make them a virtual mobile office. Additionally, they hold huge quantities of photos, mp3 music files and other kinds of data, making them favorite with the casual, non-business user as well. There are even smartphones that plug into a laptop-size monitor and keyboard device, mimicking the feel of a laptop for those of us with less than agile fingers.
